Gratitude


In the daily grind of life, it is effortless to forget how blessed we are. Our focus tends to be only on what we lack and what we want. This perception is so strong that we often do not see the pleasant and comfortable surroundings we live in and all the resources we have at our command.

Gratitude is the only practice that halts our negative outlook and gives us the divine vision to see how loved and well cared we are. When a grateful heart starts to count its blessings, it is confounding to see how long the list is.

So stop. Please hear me. Close your eyes and focus on God or whatever you believe in most, and say 'thank you.' Thank you for everything you have.

Yes, our nature is such that we always want more, and that is ok. But let us also acknowledge how much we already have in our lives; Our loved ones, food, clothes, house, health, and so-so much more.

So Thank you, God.
